Air Force volleyball sophomore Nichole Stilwell (Divide, Colo.) was named to the ESPN The Magazine University Division Academic All-District VII third-team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday.

The United States Golf Association (USGA)-funded Pikes Peak Linkers have been in Colorado Springs for the past 11 years. The Linkers program gives disabled and less fortunate children a chance to learn to play the game of golf.

Golfers and the crowds were out in full style on this, the second day of official play--and so was the wildlife. A bear and a deer made appearances about noon with onlookers nearby, the bear traipsing onto the 14th Fairway as Scott Hoch of Orlando, Fla., was teeing up.
